BioCell Collagen is a patented raw material from the USA and contains type 2 collagen, hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate. So it is good for the skin as well as the joints. The body breaks down type 2 collagen into amino acids and smaller peptides, which are then used to rebuild collagen (eg in cartilage). In a 24-week study, the intake of collagen hydrolyzate was investigated in relation to joint pain. Here, a significant pain relief could be observed in contrast to the control group.
N-acetyl-D-glucosamine is part of the body’s own hyaluronic acid and stimulates it. It plays an important role in the joints, as it is necessary for the formation of glycosaminoglycans. These are necessary for joint regeneration.
Boswellia, or better known as frankincense, is the air-dried gum resin obtained from various species of Boswellia. The effect of Boswellia was already known in ancient Egypt and is also used as a remedy in Indian Ayurveda treatment. Studies show that Boswelia can relieve joint pain and limited mobility.
